Opened with a third in a Gr 3 at Kyoto two starts back then scored by 3 lengths as public elect last time out over 1200m at Hanshin. Has the talent to test this line-up. TOSEN ESCUDO (6) is back from a spell of nine weeks. Turned in a fair effort at Tokyo over 1600m at his only run last prep, finishing fifth and beaten 1.5 lengths. Has a solid record at this journey with three wins from eight starts and is right in this. ARRANGER (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on 19 January, finishing tenth and beaten 9 lengths over 1600m at Nakayama. Has to be respected. SHONAN LAST BOSS (3) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing 11th at Kyoto over 1600m after being prominent at the turn. Surprise if he won - exotics only.
