Decent sized field but it lacks any obvious pace. SHERIFF'S STAR (6) comes here with a massive fitness edge over most of these. Struggled to run the 1400m out from the low draw when a plodding ninth over 1400m at Goulburn. Earlier efforts were sound and no shock to see him take this out. RHEGION (5) resumes and gelded over the break. Never handled the heavy (9) going when last to the smart Kerguelen over 1200m at Kembla Grange ten months ago. Fitted with two sharp trials and will need a bit of luck early from the draw. BRUTAL ELEGANCE (10) Brutal filly from a Flying Spur mare on debut for the Neasham & Archibald stable. Improved trial when second over 950m at Tamworth. Blinkers go on and gets her chance from the draw. KOWLOON PRINCESS (12) better effort at second race start when running on late to secure fifth over 1200m at Bathurst. Extra trip in her favour. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sheriff's Star to bounce back.
