Punch Lane and Coal Crusher can be prominent. GENERAL SALUTE (15) returned from a long layoff with a comprehensive victory over 1200m at Kembla Grange in BM94 class. Gets the right tempo again and capable of blowing these away if he gets the breaks. ESPIONAGE (13) will find this more to his liking third up after fading late when eighth over 1200m in the G1 Newmarket at Flemington. Comes right into the mix in the conditions. BRUDENELL (8) tough gelding who found his race when scoring a narrow win in the LR A Bell Stakes at Moonee Valley over this trip. Will try and get cover from the draw and launch late. Each way. OSTRAKA (7) has a good record over this track and trip and raced without luck at his two runs back. Outclassed when seventh in the G1 Newmarket at Flemington. Expected to bounce back today. MAZU (2) tough gelding who wasn't far away in the G2 Challenge. Respect on a rain affected track. SUGGESTED PLAY: General Salute each way.
