Plenty of speed from Immortal Lass and Moroccan Thunder. SAMITA (8) settled back in the field and struggled to make inroads last start in a $50k maiden over this distance at Muswellbrook. Narrowly defeated in a comparable race to this at Scone two back. Races well here and gets her chance to finally break through. IMMORTAL LASS (10) made it four minor placings from four career runs when she led but found one better first-up over today's distance at Gunnedah. Draws a better gate and gets a few key gear changes so it will be no surprise to see her grab a well-deserved win. NEVERMISTA (2) returns from a fourteen-week spell. Opened last prep with a sound third over this journey at Scone. Leading hope with the help of the inside stall. Rodney Northam's first starter WILLOW HILL (13) has trialled twice without showing a great deal. Let the betting tell the story. MOROCCAN THUNDER (4) showed pace before tiring late when resuming over this distance at Taree recently. Likely improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Samita and Immortal Lass.
