Just a moderate tempo headed by Tycoon Lad, Our Bambino and Waitapu. A few of the key chances come out but it is still tricky with five of the six remaining runners harbouring strong claims. TAJAWAL (3) stalked the speed then lengthened impressively to easily take out a BM66 over 2018m at Taree last time out. Up in grade but enjoys a 3.5 kg drop in the weights. Major player again. OUR BAMBINO (1) struggled over the mile in heavy going at Wyong last start. Won't mind this step up in distance and should be peaking at the fourth run back. SUIT DAY (8) goes well here at this trip and is rarely far from the money. Has been competitive of late carrying 60kg or more so he won't know himself today under just 55kg. RING AHOY (2) was plain last start after a big effort in the Cup at Quirindi the run prior. Query at the trip but still a player. WAITAPU (9) is fitter for three runs back from a spell and did win last prep at his only try over this course and distance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tajawal on top but this is a tricky little affair.
