Gold Something and Typhoon Ray can take forward positions at a moderate tempo. BRIGHT LEGEND (9) made it two minor placings from three runs this prep when she wound up late but ran out of ground over 1412m at this track last start. Perfectly placed out to the mile for the first time and will be cherry-ripe now. The testing material. IDOL SHOT (10) is a progressive filly who chalked up for third placing from just four appearances when beaten under a length over 1415m at Coffs Harbour last time out. Finding the line well and gives the impression this extra trip will see the best in her. GOLD SOMETHING (1) staged a form reversal last start when a closing third over 1735m at Grafton. Not the most reliable conveyance but an each-way chance based on that last effort. BELLABATOOTA (7) isn't setting the world on fire but can sneak into the top four in a thin race on a five-day back-up. TYPHOON RAY (4) is racing poorly but can improve with blinkers applied. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bright Legend to win.
