Despite the small field Elusive Belle, I'm Devine and French Duchess can set a decent tempo. FRENCH DUCHESS (3) showed good improvement in her first run for the Barend Botes stable. She lost a length leaving the start, but the manner in which she finished off her race to finish fourth was encouraging. She will strip much fitter horse today and should like the extra distance on offer. In this field, she may find herself in the winner's enclosure. QONDANEKUKHANYENI (4) has been in need of her first three career outings. She should love the rise to 1400m and she should have improvement to come. DYNASTY'S LAST (6) gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She can improve to finish in the placings. HER ROYALTY (7) finished out of the money two starts back then finished fourth over 1200m at this track last start. Has each-way claims.
