The lack of early speed may see Project Xero find the lead. SOUND OF JURA (1) having his fourth career run today and brings the right figures to take this out. Warmed up late after being beaten for early speed when fourth over 1600m at Swan Hill on June 9. Fitter now and should be able to race closer to the speed. SLATE RIPPER (2) only the one placing from seven starts and returned with a plugging eighth over 1300m at Echuca on June 13. Strips fitter and improvement anticipated. ASINGLEPROMISE (3) returns off a 37-day let-up after resuming with an even fifth over 1312m at Echuca on May 18. Since fitted with a 1300m trial at Bendigo on June 17. No surprise to see her take a hand in the finish. PROJECT XERO (7) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 1,2,3,7.
