GENIUS BAROWS (9) returned from a break and was on dirt for the first time last start when 1.5 lengths back in second over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Best form puts him right in this. WATERHOUSE (8) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 1.3 lengths from the winner in second over 2000m at Hanshin Dirt after being in contention on the turn. Likely improver with strong prospects. MASAHAYA WOLDS (4) filled a minor placing when fresh from a spell two starts ago. Could not back that up last time when 9 lengths away in sixth over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Well placed and is among the leading players. HIRUNO DE PLAATS (6) has not won for a long while. Last raced on April 13 when beaten 10 lengths into sixth at Hanshin Dirt over 1800m. Can break the run of outs.
