Hot early pace from Full Damage and Vetiver with a few others keeping them honest. MIAMI VICE (8) made a solid enough local debut fresh up when finishing third as favourite here just over 3 weeks ago. He will be better for that run and will relish the extra 100 metres on offer this time. He should set the record straight this time. On top. DESERT SAFARI (7) showed some ability earlier in his career and after failing to come up in a couple of Queensland starts earlier in the year he was moved on to join the local Philip Cole stable. He won't be long in winning a race in this area. Watch the markets. NASSAU COUNTY (3) will be peaking at this third local start after making the move from Queensland late last year. The drop back to 1100 metres is an interesting move but Gary Clarke is the leading trainer in Darwin for a reason. Hard to beat. SIBERIAN LARCH (5) has improved in each of his 2 starts since returning from Hong Kong. He has a good draw and is set to put his best hoof forward in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miami Vice to win.
