Few of these can get handy without an obvious leader. Metro-trained READY TO BOOM (8) led not beaten far here on a dry track and then she won the Maiden effortlessly at the Sunshine Coast of the heavy. Hits this at peak fitness with a small claim and can take the next step. AMAZING JOURNEY (11) was good at Doomben before the spell and led and spaced the Dalby Maidens on resumption. Has a 3kg claim and uses an inside barrier. She's improved and can keep building. JOY MCCOY (7) won a 58 at Gatton first-up and it was a tough effort from the wide gate. He looks back on track and fitter can make the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Ready To Boom.
