Solid tempo with Machine Head to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. A good race. UPSTART LEGEND (8) impressed winning here first-up and has been slightly disappointing the two since. Has a small claim today and will run along from the inside barrier. Wins at best and is suited. ARDERN (4) won here twice heavily bet and then made the hat-trick at Gatton in a 62. Has a small claim and maps for the run of the race. In a smart metro barn and will get every chance to go on. ON HOLD (6) has switched from the Vandyke yard on a 7-day return. Was a big winner here last time over 870m and stepping back up to the 1000m won't bother. Fast and a player. MACHINE HEAD (5) is also racing well enough to feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Upstart Legend.
