Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Red Lightning. TRIDENT SPEAR (15) was well in commission on his debut over 1800m at this track back on October 7 and finished fourth, beaten 4 lengths. Likely improver who is worth another chance. WORKING ASSET (16) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 2000m at Kyoto, beaten 1.75 lengths. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. EASY BREEZY (12) strode forward early from her wide draw last start over 2200m at Nakayama only to fade late and finish fourth. Must be included among the main hopes. RED LIGHTNING (7) finished 4 lengths from the winner in sixth over 2400m at this venue last start after being in the firing line on the turn, a less impressive effort than his fourth on debut at Nakayama the run before. Nicely placed to break the maiden status.
