Caulfield   11 May 2024

GOING: S

Catanach's Jewellers Handicap 1100m

Track: SOFT 6   Rain (Max: 18)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

Just For Show and Denial will press forward. The unraced runners possibly contribute to the strong tempo. TROPICUS (6) is a colt by Too Darn Hot on debut for the Freedman yard. He's won a recent jump out, closing in really nice style, and draws well. A couple of scratchings thin this out for him and think that he can make a winning debut for a yard among the winners of late. TOO DARN DISCREET (7) was only beaten a head on debut at Bendigo and will be better for the experience. Another by Too Darn Hot (Sire of Broadsiding) that looks to have good talent. STORMBOURG (2) was good in The Showdown and will be better for that. Must have a nice chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Think Tropicus is right up to winning here.
