Naval Academy should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. Happy to side with WINNASEDGE (4) in the last. He's been right there in two runs back, stepping up to this trip last week at Flemington and boxing on gamely for third in a stronger race. Would've preferred 1200m but he loves Caulfield and should get a soft run behind a strong pace. BAZABALL REWARDED (5) is a ripper. She tried hard to 1100m in the Bel Esprit Stakes here two back on a tough track, then sat off the speed back to 1000m last time and ripped home to add another string to her bow. 1100m is the worry here but how she won last start suggests it might not be an issue. SALSA FELLOW (8) was well backed in the Golden Topaz at Swan Hill last time and ran on well having won two in a row prior. He'll get back but the track pattern will be key. LANDMARK (14) is going well without winning, up to 1100m looks okay and he can be figuring. NAVAL ACADEMY (11) can be forgiven for the fresh run on a tough track, he's better than that and should be included in multiples. SUGGESTED PLAY: Winnasedge to win.
