Genuine tempo with Funshow and Lady Pankhurst up front.
Two smart youngsters collide in an interesting race. AETHELWULF (2) was well backed when resuming last start over this course and distance and the money was spot on as he destroyed his rivals with a dazzling turn of foot. Gives every indication he will be winning better races and can pick this one up along the journey. FUNSHOW (3) is the obvious threat after he too scored a massive maiden win last time out, leading all the way to win by five over 1300m here. Might be tough to catch if allowed to control things. TURNING CIRCLE (15) made a late challenge but failed to pick up the winner recently over 1300m at Hawkesbury. Has raced 20 times for just one win so she has probably bottomed out compared to the top pair, but a top three finish is in reach. PRINCE HARRISON (6) had a 37-day break before a modest effort over 1200m at Gosford last start. Fitter and better placed out to this trip. WHERE'S MY HALO (12) returned impressively here last time out and can improve further. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be with Aethelwulf.
