Nevra Queen, Pianta and Mangione to vie for early honours at a solid tempo. UNITED LEGEND (8) ran a better race and finished half a length away in fourth last time out over 2200m at Balaklava after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the ability to figure prominently. RIKKI RIKKARDO (12) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing second and beaten only 1.75 lengths over 2050m at Strathalbyn. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. MANGIONE (2) finished 2.2 lengths away from the winner last time at Casterton on a soft track and drops in the weights. Should be prominent from the outset. One of the main contenders. NEVRA QUEEN (11) showed early speed from a good draw and led until entering the straight last start, eventually holding on for second and beaten 1.5 lengths over 1614m at Moe. Strong top-three prospect. THEODOR (3) was very impressive two back when leading all the way at Balaklava. Less effective last time in town but he can't be forgotten. SUGGESTED PLAY: United Legend to win.
