Just a moderate pace anticipated. WESTERN MISS (9) was solid on debut before jumping favourite over 1300m at Northam last start and missing in a photo finish. Pike now hops on board and the slight rise in trip again is right up her alley. Looks a nice filly on the way up and can land the knockout blow. ROCKSTORM SALLY (12) was strong fresh before a disappointing run last time out in what's turned out to be a good form race. A better draw this time helps and Galati replaces the apprentice hoop. Can bounce back in a big way. MERCURY RISING (3) has disappointed in his two runs back, but he showed glimpses last campaign to suggest he had some ability. Third-up now can see him close to his top and a return to his best form would see him in the finish. ADROIT (2) is third-up today and should be able to settle a touch closer from the barrier draw. The form out of his last start has been superb and drawing away from the fence can help. SUPAROO (4) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Western Miss can get the job done this time.
