Wild Jakkal and Secret Wish look to bowl along in front. PRETTY FLY (7) was brave in defeat behind a smart type at Riccarton 8 days ago, and she maps to settle a couple of pairs closer for this assignment. She handles a heavy track and is nicely poised to take this out. QUINTO (2) finished sixth in the same race as the top pick 8 days ago, and his effort for second over this trip before that was very good. Stick with him on an each-way basis. SUNNINGDALE (5) was too strong second up at Timaru 3 weeks ago when breaking her maiden status over this trip. She is a lot stronger this year, and she has the scope to go on with the job now. O'CEIRINS BELLE (6) found some trouble last time out and should have finished a lot closer than she did. She cops a wide gate, but she is well worth another chance. COURTE XENA (15) battled on gamely out wide here 4 weeks ago, and she could provide some nice value to bolster any top 4 combos. Don't risk her. SUGGESTED PLAY: O'Ceirins Belle and Courte Xena as each-way value.
