Hot tempo expected from Grand Occasion and Perilla. EDUCATOR (2) improved sharply on her fourth two starts back at this track with a win over 1600m at Greyville All Weather five-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.75 lengths. No reason she cannot salute again. OVATION STAR (6) was handy on straightening and went on to finish second last start over 1450m at Turffontein Inside, beaten half a length as favourite. Ready to win and expected to go close. PERILLA (7) fought on for third last start over 1400m at Greyville, making it two minor placings in a row. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. TOMYRIS (8) has been freshened up since a disappointing fourth five-and-a-half weeks ago over 1600m at Greyville All Weather. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Solid claims on best form.
