SPRINGER (1) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when tenth over 2400m at Kyoto after he was prominent at the corner. Should be peaking now and looks set to find best form. SHISHI (6) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Nicely placed to find winning ways. BRICK BARN (4) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a third most recently over 1400m at this track when beaten 2 lengths. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will give backers a great sight. PETAL BIJOU (8) ran well below her best last time over 1400m at this track, beaten 8 lengths into seventh at $4.70. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Not to be discounted.
