Should bounce back. SPIRITUAL (2) faded right out of it last time over 1600m at Ohi after showing good early speed and leading for much of the way, eventually finishing ninth. Expected to be in this for a long way. ASUMA STEVE (4) finished out of the money two starts back then he was never in contention and was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth over 1300m at Mizusawa a week ago. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. YOTSUBA MITCHI (10) fought on for third last start over 1300m at Mizusawa, beaten 9 lengths to add to some fine recent form.
