Pace strong with Initiate and Mel Dore leading with Bear Tooth nearby. MEL DORE (5) is a promising type who scored at her last run before a break four-and-a-half months ago over 1200m at this track. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Expecting a bold showing. SEA OF STARS (8) opened this prep last start with a third, beaten 4 lengths, over 1200m at this track. Among the leading chances. BEAR TOOTH (1) finished second at Urawa two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1500m at Kawasaki, finishing 6 lengths back in eighth after being in the firing line on the bend. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. MY BELIEVE (3) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1000m at this track. Among the better hopes.
