Competitive contest. It's hard to knock the form of ALMIGHTY JAB (6) who has put back-to-back wins together and is racing high on confidence of late. Gets in well at the weights with the 2kg claim and should get a cosy run in transit from gate two. Goes on top. BLUE STRATUM (7) has placed two from two over this track and trip and will be cherry-ripe now fourth run back from the break. Can make his presence felt. RUSSIAN MINT (5) has only missed a drum once in six spins over this course and distance and rarely puts in a poor one. Has to be included in calculations. VALENKI (3) went down by a narrow margin here at the latest outing and may earn some minor money again. MIDAS STAR (8) goes well for hoop Teh who has three wins and a placing from just four steers. In the mix on best figures. SUGGESTED PLAY: Almighty Jab to bring up the hat-trick.
