Strong tempo primarily from Boulder Jack, Hughie and Gobbo's Mate over Sir Loyne and Designer Style. SIR LOYNE (3) is a four-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Ben Brisbourne barn, formerly with Michael Freedman. He's shown ability above this level in six runs to date and if the new stable are able to go on with that he'll be very hard to beat. HUGHIE (2) was an impressive winner last time over 1200m at Casterton, leading throughout and putting 10 lengths on his rivals. Tougher here but goes forward again and has to be greatly respected. BOULDER JACK (4) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when eighth and beaten 8 lengths over 1400m at Echuca. Can roll forward here and bounce back having won two on the bounce prior. BABY BLUE (10) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1200m at Ballarat Synthetic. Onto turf now but is lightly raced for the top yard and will take holding out. COSMIC CHARGER (5) presents third up and has claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sir Loyne to win.
