Phantom's Chase is likely to take charge and set a decent tempo. LIGHTNING FLASH (6) is coming off a close up fifth at Wangaratta last time having won by an effortless six lengths there prior. The wetter the better for this mare and up to 2050m now looks ideal from a soft gate. Hard to hold out. MISS NIAGARA (9) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 4.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 2400m at Geelong. Tough draw but can be running on at each-way odds. PHANTOM'S CHASE (3) put in a solid run at Donald last time in similar company having won his maiden there dominantly prior. Off a decent break here is a little niggle but respecting. JUST LANDED (2) did a great job to score by one length over this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Hard to knock again. HARRY CAVIAR (1) is off a maiden win and could go on with it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lightning Flash to win.
