NICHIRIN (11) knuckled down strongly to get within one length of the winner in second last start over 1200m at this track. Should be poised just off the lead. Sure to be in the finish. THE GOAT (2) has scored at her last two starts, most recently by 0.8 lengths over 1200m at this track. That continued the solid form this campaign, with three wins and three minor placings from nine starts. Big chance once again. SHOSAN REX (4) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time over 1200m at this track, finishing sixth and beaten 3.5 lengths. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. WINNING SHOT (10) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, beaten 9 lengths into tenth. No surprise to see him in contention.
