Genuine tempo with the speedy Smart King leading the way. BRILLIANT BULL ANT (3) is still a maiden after 11 starts but comes through some stronger races than this, second in town at Sandown Hillside two back before a sound fourth at Bendigo. Rates highly in this field. MASAKARI (4) finished 2 lengths adrift in sixth when fresh from a layoff last start over 1200m at this track. Should come on from that and will take holding out. VERY FAMOUS (11) returns from a short break after finishing sixth over 1500m at Ballarat Synthetic five weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a recent Flemington trial placing and can be an improver in a suitable race. STAR ROYAL (10) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.3 lengths from the winner in second over 1400m at this track. Maps for a soft run and should go well. PRESTIGE ISAAC (5) is an Impending gelding on debut who can run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Brilliant Bull Ant to win.
