Solid tempo expected primarily from Hit Song and William's Smile. Genuine mare ROYAL TEENS (4) returned a good figure when beaten a neck over 1312m here in heavy going two runs back. Didn't quite finish off as hoped here last time in a similar contest. Draws a nice gate and certainly deserves another chance. SMART JAZZ (1) is back from a 75-day break. Raced just once last prep and all was not right. Proven at this level and is well in after the claim so this looks a nice race to launch the new campaign. EPHEMERAL (8) lined up for the first time in 12 months and did a great job to chime in late on the heavy ground and score over 1200m at Tamworth recently. Sparingly raced filly who is back better than ever and should handle this class rise. HIT SONG (6) raced handy then battled on evenly for fourth over 1200m at Moree last start. Unproven on a heavy track which is the knock - worth some thought if there is an upgrade. SUNSTAZ (7) has found form at her last couple of runs and is a chance again on a nine-day back-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Giving Royal Teens another chance.
