BEL BARON (4) is poised to win after placing at his last four outings, most recently when second over 1200m at this track. Looks well placed so expect another big run. EXCELLEN WINNER (1) finished third over 1300m at Saga at his most recent appearance on March 28. Has switched to the Fuyuki Igarashi yard. One of the genuine hopes in the race. SHORYU MASARU (3) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten one length, over 1000m at this track. Goes well at this trip, recording four minor placings and is one of the prime contenders. MANA MOANA (6) made progress last time out, finishing 3.5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1200m at this track. Likely to hold the form and is a strong top-three prospect.
