FORTITUDE (2) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 3 lengths over 800m at this track. Drawn to go forward again. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she deserves plenty of thought. NOVA VIA (3) opened this campaign last start with a third, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 800m at this track. Well placed and should be tough to beat. EXCELLEN ARTHUR (4) was prominent at the bend but turned in a disappointing run last time out over 1200m at Funabashi after a nice win the start prior. Finds a tougher race but a better run will not surprise. LA TARANTELLA (11) started at $4.40 last time but could only manage fourth, beaten 4 lengths, at Funabashi over 1000m. Kenji Okamura who has scored on her two times retains the mount. Must be respected.
