A lack of early speed leaves it open for High Voltage to run them along. KING COUNTRY (4) returned from a short spell with a decent fourth over 1500m at Port Macquarie last start where he looked a chance before condition gave out. Won his maiden over the mile here in March on a soft track. Can make substantial improvement today with that run under the belt. ROSE WATER (7) has been about the mark of late without threatening. Worked home in good style to be beaten under two lengths over 1500m at Hawkesbury last time out. Has failed at the mile before but back in this company with winkers on for the first time she deserves another chance. KISS'N DANCE (2) stepped up to 2245m at Grafton recently and did a fair job to finish fifth. Better placed today and can figure in the finish. HIGH VOLTAGE (10) was poor at Port Macquarie last time but strips fitter and is back a little in grade. SHELLEY'S LOOKOUT (8) gets back in her races which makes it tough. Can work home into the top four without surprising. SUGGESTED PLAY: King Country to win.
