GENERAL GORDON (6) finished just out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then was beaten 2.75 lengths when fifth over 1600m at Rockhampton two-and-a-half weeks ago after being in the firing line on the corner. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. WILLOW CAPRI (9) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten a head, over 1300m at this track. Draws low and rates a leading player again. CHECK ONE TWO (7) improved last time out, finishing a nose from the winner in second at the end of 1600m at Rockhampton. Looks well placed so expect another big run. ALVIN (1) was beaten 2 lengths into sixth over 1300m here last time out. Capable of featuring prominently. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 6,9,7,1.
