Solid early tempo from Pentagon who will look to lead from the rails draw, challenged by Inception. COSTABIT (7) had excuses at all three runs this time in and looks ready to peak fourth-up. Taken back from the wide gate and struggled in the heavy going with a battling last over this journey at Rosehill in BM72 grade. Blinkers come off and set to deliver from the good draw. I'VE BEAN TRYIN' (1) tough seven-year-old gelding who finds a winnable race today. Went back early and pinched ground along the inside with a respectable fifth over 1500m at Rosehill in BM78 grade. Claim helps and shapes as the main danger. SQUEEZEBOX (5) stalked the pace and never surrendered with the 59.5kg for a tidy third over 1600m at Gosford. Hard fit now and can take a hand in the finish. PREFER DIAMONDS (9) senior rider on today and looks close to her best third-up. Raced handy from the wide barrier with a close-up fifth over 1400m at Newcastle. Both wins have come at this course and distance and has genuine winning prospects. SUGGESTED PLAY: Costabit and I've Been Tryin' shape as the two leading chances.
