Expecting Time To Pause to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. ANGEL STELLA BELLE (6) has not raced since showing pace before dropping out on debut over 1500m at Yarra Valley on 24 March. Gets a few gear changes for the first run in a new stable. Should give a good account in a moderate race. FINAL GIFT (10) raced up on the pace and battled on fairly to be beaten just 2.6 lengths over 900m at Newcastle last time out. Will appreciate the drop back from a provincial to a country maiden. Great chance to break through. MR CORNSTAR (4) led for a home and looked a chance for a stride or two but was soon overwhelmed at the end of 900m at Newcastle recently. Should give backers a sight. BUZZ SAW (3) is back after a seven-month spell. In the money at three of five runs to date, including two at today's distance. Wide gate the only concern. RIPS LAW (7) ran a better race at Moree last start and will be peaking after three runs back from a spell. SUGGESTED PLAY: Angel Stella Belle to strike first-up for the new stable.
