Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Hollywood Ace. PRESOCRATICS (8) broke through for a smart maiden win when last seen at Geelong, showing a sharp turn of foot to come away and score by 1.3 lengths. Had been knocking on the door prior and with a bit of upside he can go right on with it now. INEXORABLE (2) broke a long run of placings with victory second up from a spell at this track and distance. He's always run well, largely against some better company when in the market and maps for every chance here. HOLLYWOOD ACE (10) struggled second up here but had been solid on resumption and getting to 1400m now looks far more suitable. Can bounce to the front and take catching. POP'S PIPE (7) is racing well and ties in with Inexorable through Lensman. He's got a bit of upside and draws for a good run. DOM (3) was poor fresh but could improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Presocratics to win.
