Plenty of pace established by Second Base, Silent War and King's Express, with Player close at hand. KING'S EXPRESS (3) is a winner of his last two starts over 1800m. Resumes from a spell and if not in need of the run, he can bring up the hat-trick. HAWKBILL (7) showed some signs of a form return in his last start over 1800m on this course. He stayed on well at the finish but found one too good on the day. If repeating that effort he should be fighting out the finish. LA MOOHAL (6) is better than his last start run would suggest. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from eight starts on this course. With Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he cannot be ignored. PLAYER (8) stayed on well at the finish over 1600m last time. He has won twice and finished third once from six starts on this course. He is having his third run this prep and having won in that state previously rates well as a leading chance.
