Slick pace with Withania finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. HARDHEAD (2) backs up eight days after failing to run out the mile at Coonamble. Form prior to that in a couple of maidens around seven furlongs was strong. In the right race to bounce back to form. MAJOR LIGHTNING (3) improved out of sight last start at the second run back from a spell, driving hard late but just missing out over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Can improve further and take this out. SPRADAX (10) raced handy then kept finding and wound up a close second at massive odds over 1200m at Coonamble recently. In the mix if that wasn't a one-off. THE GIT UP (11) registered her eighth minor placing from thirteen starts when third in the same race as Spradax at Coonamble eight days ago. Wide gate is a concern but on current form she must be considered. TWINING CLASS (5) turned things around at Coonamble last time and should run another cheeky race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be with Hardhead.
