HAKUSAN SONUS (9) turned in a fine effort to win by one length at this track and distance when first-up from a spell last time out. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders. LEO TESORO (4) did a great job to score by 1.5 lengths over this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Meets a stronger field but he is capable of another big run. BEAUTY HONEY (5) has been thereabouts, the latest finishing fourth over 1400m at this track but overdue for another win. Record at this track is strong. Sure to be competitive. SMILE QUARTZ (12) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished second, beaten half a length, over 900m at this track. Placed to advantage and can take this out.
