Expecting Dendina to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip.
BRUMMAGEN (1) returned from a fifteen-month spell with an excellent second over 900m at Murwillumbah last start, closing well to finish less than a length from the winner. Awkwardly drawn but otherwise hard to fault. PARISSIDENT (9) led and gave a kick but found one better close to home over 950m at Moree last time out. Has had plenty of chances but is racing well and in a modest field is a definite chance. Lightly raced filly LONG TIME LOVERS (6) is back from a six-month spell. Didn't come up last prep in two runs at the provincials. Major player launching this prep in a much easier maiden. DENDINA (4) has not raced since starting warm favourite and finishing third on debut over this course and distance in August 2023. Market the key off such a long break. MISS KARIS (7) is in the mix fresh from a two-month let-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Brummagen on top in a tricky race to open.
