CHARCOALS (2) is building a solid overall record, adding to that record here last start with a strong win over 1100m, getting home well to score by a length. Out to 1200m now should be fine and he draws well with a bit of upside to come. SCULLY (5) has been solid in two runs back from a spell, working home nicely in a dash home at Sandown Lakeside last start in a stronger race won by the speedy Trembles. Up to 1200m now looks ideal. LA PLEINE LUNE (6) wasn't far behind Charcoals here last time and up slightly in trip here will suit. Can set a good tempo and take catching. STRIKE GOLD (1) was well in the market in this grade at Ballarat Synthetic last time out when just fair but had been in winning form prior and can bounce back. GWAN SO (3) has been solid in two runs back and has claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Charcoals to win.
