Happy Fat Cat is expected to cross from a wide draw and lead. SPICY GOLD (1) is normally very competitive at this level, and he was sixth at Sha Tin a month ago over 1400m. His record around this circuit is far better, and from the pole position, he is the one to beat. CHARMING BABE (10) will be backing up quickly from racing at Sha Tin on Sunday if he were to start here. He has a slightly better draw and is worthy of some each-way consideration back on this track. LO PAN SPIRIT (9) has been third in his last couple of starts and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Sha Tin over 1200m. He is having his first start on this track, and Zac Purton sticks with him. Each way. GALAXY WITNESS (11) has been battling to find his best form, but is capable on his day. A good draw will help, and this field is very even. Include in all combinations. GOLDEN EMPIRE (2) made the most of his good draw and a positive ride when winning a similar race here by a short head 3 weeks ago. He has a tougher gate this time, but has to be included.
