GOING: S(6)

JACOBS CREEK Fillies and Mares BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1240m

Track: Soft 6   Rain (Max: 26)   Rail: +8m Entire.

From the outside gate Oberoi Princess can cross and take up the running. It's hard to fault the form of LADY LUCIFER (3), who has two wins and three placings from five career efforts to date and looks the runner in this field with the most upside. Gets the services of Callow in the irons from the favourable draw and should be going very close again. MORE FOR READY (8) got a well-deserved maiden victory last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that win. Draws the inside marble and looms as the main danger. Former NSW galloper SOUTHERN CHARM (6) wasn't too far away in her first run for the new stable and will have come on with that run now in the locker. Top-three contender. ADDITION (2) returned in fine fashion with a strong win here, and Maloney sticks in the saddle. Don't underestimate. OBEROI PRINCESS (1) has put back-to-back wins together, and it's hard to ignore mares in form. Worth serious consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Lucifer to salute.
