Plenty of unraced runners engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a genuine tempo. Tricky with so many on debut. Of the raced, THE OPPORTUNIST (6) clearly stands out. Two runs back from a spell have been good, beaten under a length at Pakenham last time out. The race experience will count for plenty. ZOUTANIUM (5) is a colt by Zoustar on debut for the Busuttin & Young stable. Blake Shinn booked is a strong lead and he's jumped out well enough to indicate good ability. SMASHING LAD (3) is a colt by Brave Smash on debut for local trainers Maddie Raymond & Patrick Bell. He's won a jump out leading in and has to be respected. SHADES OF STARDOM (2) is a gelding by Tosen Stardom on debut for the Matt Williams yard. He looked handy winning a recent trial and has been popular early. ARIZONA LUCK (7) is a filly by Lucky Vega on debut for the Wilde yard and is another who should be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Opportunist on top.
