Straand Beauty, Bonjour Madame and First Mission to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. BONJOUR MADAME (6) won her maiden and then stepped straight up and scored last time out at Wyong in BM64 grade. That is a sign of a good horse, and she is perfectly placed again in the same class. She carries an extra 2.5kg, and the hat-trick beckons. STRAAND BEAUTY (1) finished runner-up in his only start this year, and it was his first as a gelding. He resumes from a spell for a new trainer and should go close to taking this out, after a couple of solid tune-up trial performances. CORDINA (8) won her debut in a modest field at Kilmore and has been third in 2 subsequent runs. She will be hoping to settle in a more forward position this time, and she is another with each-way claims. IMPERIAL STATE (5) followed on from a comfortable maiden win at Gosford with a tough run for second at Kembla Grange 15 days ago. He is bred to improve with racing and can go on with the job.
