Hot tempo expected with Gurkha, Magma Magic and True Trojan heading the charge. RICCARDO (10) ran on strongly when third of 15 over 1400m on this course last time. Four of his nine career victories have come on this course. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners. GURKHA (1) won his maiden easier than the official margin suggests over 1400m at Greyville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He takes on stronger rivals but has scope and should be well up to the task at hand. IMPERIAL POWER (12) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start to finish third. Best figures measure up and rates well as an each-way chance. INGQWELE (4) hasn't been too far away of late, the latest effort a fourth at this track over 1400m. Has the pace and the right draw to find a good early position. Include in exotic bets.
