Strong pace as Rikki Rikkardo pushes forward along with Longer Route from an outside gate. LONGER ROUTE (1) was no match for a smart winner last start but stuck on gamely into fourth after being in the firing line on the corner. Ideally placed back in grade and gets help under the big weight with the 3kg claimer engaged. Expecting him to prove hard to hold out. LITTLE CHICAGO (3) showed good early speed at Oakbank last start and was only collared late. Strips rock-hard fit and will take running down. WILD WINNER (7) chased solidly for second here last start and should appreciate the rise in distance. Well in the mix. MASTER OF ZERPRISE (8) is racing consistently and has a strong record over this course and distance. Must be included among the top chances, but will need some luck from the draw. Watch for him charging hard late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Longer Route to win.
