Strong tempo with Super Lad using the inside alley to advantage, joined by Silent Emmy. SAN LUCIDO (1) stuck on gamely to just miss when resuming at Balaklava. Will appreciate the rise in trip and boasts a strong second-up record. 2kg claimer staying on helps. Leading player. TOP OF THE RIDGE (6) has left himself with too much to do in his three runs back, but can take closer order this time from the low draw. Peaking now and rates a big threat. FALANGHINA (3) has caught the eye in both runs back when flashing home in what have proven to be good form races. Shoulders a handy record over the track and trip. Serious chance. FLOREY (8) carries plenty of upside at start three and will appreciate the rise in grade. Don't take lightly. SUPER LAD (5) made a complete mess of his rivals last start at Penola when leading pillar-to-post. Needs to go up again, but has to be considered. BOLTED IN (2) will likely drift back from the wide draw and be saved for the final shot at them. Keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with San Lucido.
