Solid tempo with Irish Jig leading from Winged and Denman Bandit. The speedy IRISH JIG (8) wasn't far away first-up at Quirindi then couldn't quicken under a crushing 62kgs at Moree last time. Drops sharply in the weights today and should be cherry ripe at this stage of the campaign. CHEVAL CHIC (2) has failed to fire in three runs this prep but they have all been in far stronger races than this. Gets a couple of key gear changes and draws a nice gate so she can turn things around dramatically. KYLE (1) has transferred to the James Harding stable since his eye-catching fourth over 1000m at Seymour seven weeks ago. Has a wide alley and plenty of weight but his best form more than stacks up. DUB (3) progressed nicely last start when a fast-finishing second over 1250m at Gunnedah. That run followed a 44-day break so there is sure to be improvement to come. DENMAN BANDIT (5) is a model of consistency and maps perfectly from the inside gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Irish Jig each-way.
