Without a great deal of early pace evident Mortal Peak may lead the way over Creusa. LINKENHOLT (3) looks nicely placed at his third career start having improved nicely up to 2000m last start at Pakenham when closing off well into third. The extra 200m here should only be in his favour again and he draws for a soft run. ITSAGIVEN (9) has been thereabouts in three runs this time in, through the same race as Linkenholt at Pakenham when sent out $3.70 and battling into fourth. Onto the synthetic here could suit better. CREUSA (7) was fifth there, also in the market, and is another bred to stay who could appreciate firmer footing. LUXOR GOLD (4) is off a let up but has the ability to challenge. SUGGESTED PLAY: Linkenholt to win.
